Friends’ School contributes to NI Peace Pledge

On Thursday 2nd June, Friends’ pupils presented a “Peace Pledge” to Rev David Latimer, an organiser from “Pathway to Peace”. 

"Peace Pledge" is a schools’ peace-building initiative which features over 400 primary, post-primary and special schools from all sectors across NI. The schools have written 25-word “Peace Pledges”, and the FSL pledge was written by the School Council:

At FSL, we pledge to: Be compassionate and kind to others; Treat all as sisters and brothers; Act with calmness, courage and love, And seek always that which is above.

The pledge was presented in Assembly by Year 8 School Council Representatives Hannah Brady, Heidi Dawson and Joel Parker.
